Joe A. Araiza
President

Joe is the president and principal of Tri Span, Inc. with over 30 years experience in the hazardous materials remediation industry. He founded the company with the hopes of using his expertise to provide superior service to his California community, building a skilled team of professionals along the way. His responsibilities include operating and managing Tri Span’s daily operations.

Paul Araiza
Operations Manager

Paul Araiza has over 30 years experience in asbestos, lead, mold abatement and demolition. He has worked on a wide range of projects that include commercial, retail, government, military and utility company work. Paul manages all day-to-day operations, from scheduling of employees, oversight of project supervisors, equipment utilization and assuring a safe workplace.

Canaan James Araiza
Site Safety Manager

Canaan oversees workplace safety at Tri Span, making sure every project runs in line with company policy and applicable safety regulations. He conducts jobsite inspections, identifies and corrects hazards, leads safety meetings and employee training, maintains required documentation and investigates incidents. He works closely with project managers, supervisors, employees, subcontractors and clients to develop site-specific safety plans and keep everyone on the jobsite protected.

Jake Araiza
Project Manager / Estimator

A San Francisco State University graduate, Jake is a CDPH Lead Certified Supervisor. He builds and maintains client relationships, estimates jobs and manages them from start to finish, working with both clients and his team, administratively and out in the field, to keep every project running as smoothly as possible. His work ranges from small private jobs to large public projects such as LAUSD.

Manuel Solano
Project Manager / Estimator

Manuel has over 40 years in the demolition and abatement business. He started his career in the field, mastering various demolition equipment. Manuel’s knowledge in the field allows him to accurately determine equipment, quantities and scheduling required for estimating projects. His primary focus has been interior demolition of multi-story buildings including historical buildings.

Joe De Los Santos
Project Manager / Estimator

Joe brings a comprehensive background across every part of the abatement contracting business, from estimating and project management to field and warehouse operations, regulatory compliance and purchasing. He is a certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor and Supervisor, trained through the Occupational Training Institute and Lead Tech Services in Baltimore, Maryland, and has completed the HUD Guidelines Lead Paint Abatement Course.

Antonio Alanis
Project Manager / Estimator

Antonio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach. Before joining Tri Span he managed large commercial programs for clients including Walmart. He handles jobs of every size, from single-day residential work to multi-month deployments for federal agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including abatement at Pacific Palisades Elementary. He runs projects from initial takeoff and field coordination through final closeout, with strict attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Earl Maijala
Project Manager / Estimator

Earl joined Tri Span in 2021 and brings an extensive background in cost estimating for public works projects. He plans, directs and coordinates jobs to keep them on schedule and on budget, and reviews plans and specifications to set methods, staffing and timeframes. He is EPA and AHERA approved for asbestos abatement supervision and has completed the HUD Guidelines lead paint abatement course. He came to Tri Span from Karcher Enviro, where he was field operations manager and then vice president.

Jose Xochitiotzi
Superintendent

Jose has been with Tri Span since 2002 and is the primary supervisor on METRO projects. He runs abatement work in the field to SCAQMD, EPA and Cal-OSHA standards, oversees air monitoring and record keeping, and trains and directs crews on safety procedures and company policy. He is EPA and AHERA approved as an asbestos abatement contractor and supervisor, is certified by the California Department of Public Health for lead related construction, and is OSHA hazardous waste operations trained.

Ernie Valdez
Business Development / Marketing

Ernie has over 40 years in the environmental business and heads business development and marketing at Tri Span, Inc. He brings in new clients and new opportunities, and builds the long term relationships behind them. He also represents Tri Span at industry events, conferences and association meetings.

Rosie Moreno
Project Assistant

Rosie has over 10 years working for abatement contractors managing the office, dispatching crews, tracking rental equipment and arranging transport of waste. Her duties include assisting the estimators and working with AQMD and OSHA in preparing the required notifications for each job, then compiling close out documents at completion.
